Mountaintop Interfaith Community

The Mountaintop Interfaith Community is an assembly of 8 faith groups and spiritual traditions bringing hope and inspiration to the mountaintop communities in the Northern Catskills in Greene County

  • The St John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church will host a Prayers for Peace Interfaith service at 2.30 PM (after the regular Sunday Service) Sunday, April 30 in the church Hall.

    Members of the Interfaith Community will participate and a gathering will take place afterward with food and fellowship. We ask everyone to attend if you can for this gathering of unity and community.  Spread the word-this is an open invitation to all our neighbors on the mountaintop. 

    Among our activites are an annual Thanksgiving Service, help for local charitable causes, and support for our faith communities and neighbors.

Gathering

Our annual Thanksgiving Service is a chance to gather the community together for a joyful celebration of gratitude. It takes place on Tuesday the week before Thanksgiving. Each year it moves to a different host faith group. Special prayer gatherings to support our Ukrainian neighbors are also scheduled periodically

Helping

Each year we select or initiate a charitable mountaintop cause for our annual Thanksgiving offering. We also initiated a project to collect mobility devices for Ukraine.

Periodic inspirational messages are published in the Windham Weekly and on this site.
